Development of project documentation for the construction of a gas pipeline from Krasnodar territory in Crimea are the Crimean capital institutions, said Fins news the Minister of fuel and energy of Crimea Sergey Egorov.

The new pipeline Crimea-Kuban will be laid on the bottom of the Kerch Strait. The supplied gas is expected to apply for new gas-fired power plants, the construction of which is planned in the Republic to reduce dependence on energy supplies from Ukraine. Crimea currently is 70% dependent on the supply of electricity from Ukraine.

"This year the projected pipeline. In the 1st quarter of 2016 start of construction. The project deals with the Crimean Institute " Shelf ", and there will (participate) Metropolitan Institute, which will assist us to accelerate the procedure of state expertise, " said Egorov.

the construction of the pipeline provided by the Federal target program for development of Crimea until 2020. Egorov also noticed that the construction of the pipeline will be financed from extrabudgetary sources.

The price of a new pipeline is determined at 20 billion rubles, of which 14, accounted for 3 billion of work on the laying of pipe on the bottom of the Kerch Strait and the Peninsula.
