The supplied gas is expected to apply for new gas-fired power plants, the construction of which is planned in the Republic to reduce dependence on energy supplies from Ukraine. Crimea currently is 70% dependent on the supply of electricity from Ukraine. The construction of the pipeline provided by the Federal target program for development of Crimea until 2020. The price of a new pipeline is determined at 20 billion rubles, of which 14, accounted for 3 billion of work on the laying of pipe on the bottom of the Kerch Strait and the Peninsula.
