Deputy defense Minister army General Dmitry Bulgakov arrived with working visit to the Rostov region to monitor the progress of the construction of the railway from Voronezh to Rostov region bypassing Ukraine.

Double-track electrified railway track began to build on a plot of zhuravka-Millerovo after a sharp deterioration of relations with the neighboring country in 2014.

"in the Voronezh region, I will chair a meeting today of the headquarters building of the railway section zhuravka-Millerovo. The meeting is scheduled to review the implementation of the plans and schedule for excavation works on the route of the road from 11 th to 31-th km ", - said Bulgakov.

Earthworks are Railway troops. According to media reports, the works are able to be completed by the end of 2017.
