The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine: Belarus may send humanitarian aid to the Donbass
Belarus may provide Ukraine with humanitarian aid for residents who received damage as a result of hostilities regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, reports the press service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The humanitarian situation in the Donbas continues to be challenging. Citizens living area of hostilities lack of food, medicines and medical equipment, and basic necessities.

yesterday a working meeting of first Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Galibarenko with first Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Belarus Alexander Mikhnevich, in which the employees of the foreign Ministry discussed, and among them, the problems of Donbass.

"There was also an exchange of thoughts regarding the situation in the East of our country, for example (the sides discussed - ed.) the possibility of providing the government of the Republic of Belarus humanitarian assistance to the affected regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions ", - said in the message posted on the Internet office of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Tuesday.

in addition, employees of the foreign Ministry discussed the possibility of expanding mutual trade, as well as the organization of the next meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Belarusian mixed Council for trade and economic cooperation, scheduled for July this year.

The Ukrainian authorities began in April last year in the Donbass military operation against dissatisfied with the coup d'etat of residents of the region. According to the summary data of the UN, the victims of the conflict were about 6, 5 thousand people. The settlement of the situation in the Donbass is discussed as well as among them during the meeting in Minsk of the contact group, which since September of last year already took 3 of the document governing the steps to de-escalate the conflict.
