The speaker of the state Duma outraged by the news of the demolition of the monument Chernyakhovsky in Poland
The news of the demolition of the monument to the twice Hero of the Soviet Union General Ivan Chernyakhovsky in the Polish city of Pieni??no causes sincere regret and indignation, such actions of the Polish authorities offend the feelings million descendants of the soldiers of the red Army, said the speaker of the state Duma Sergey Naryshkin.

"The news of the demolition of the monument to Soviet General Ivan Chernyakhovsky in the Polish city of Pieni??no, upon release of which the General Chernyakhovsky died, by itself, causes and sincere regret and indignation," said Naryshkin correspondents.

He said that "war of monuments" is a " heavy political disease called amnesia.

"The Polish authorities mistakenly believe that, having taken down the monument to Soviet General, they will make a new European history of Poland. Not at all, they thus, by itself, offend the feelings million descendants of red Army soldiers, Russians and Ukrainians, and Belarusians, poles, Georgians, Tatars and many, many others who died, freeing the Polish nation from fascism. And similar about 600 thousand ", - noted the speaker of the state Duma.

He added that the Polish authorities are insulting the memory of their own ancestors.

According to Naryshkin, unfortunate that such actions of the Polish authorities occur in the year of the 70th anniversary of victory over fascism.

"Seventy years ago, literally in those days) which was crucial to the Potsdam conference, which, by the way - and I wish to remind this forgetful Polish bureaucrats - adopted the opinion on the re-establishment of Poland within its existing borders. In addition, there at the Potsdam conference was agreed the format of the Nuremberg process, which has become such a real court of history over Nazism, the court which condemned Nazism as a crime against peace and humanity.
