Head of the state Duma on international Affairs Alexei Pushkov asked in a persistent form from North America explanations on the supply of weapons to Ukraine, he wondered whose statements should be trusted.
"whether the United States is secretly supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine - despite the statements of the Obama administration? USA required either to refute or to assure this, ? Pushkov wrote in his own Twitter.
"The Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Chaly said she already gets lethal weapons from the United States and 10 European countries. The Obama administration does not recognize this. Who to believe?", ? added Pushkov. On the last working day of the week, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly said that Ukraine receives weapons from more than 10 European countries, among them lethal weapons. On Thursday, the senior Democrat of the Department of military power chamber of the commissioners of Congress Adam Smith claimed that the head of the USA Barack Obama wants to deny passed by the U.S. Congress a draft law on defense spending in fiscal year 2016, which predusmatrivaet the possibility of supplying Ukraine weapons. In June, the military budget for the 2016 financial year received enough votes in the U.S. Senate, the document provides for the transfer of military equipment, small arms, rocket-propelled grenades. Along with this amendment on supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons included by Congress in the draft law of the military budget. As said, the U.S. assistant Secretary of state on problems of Eurasia and Europe, Victoria Nuland, the US have opportunity to send lethal weapons to Ukraine in the event of a new outbreak of violence in the country. At the same time White house press Secretary Eric Schultz recognized that, in the opinion of U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama, Ukraine will only lead to more violence.
