The Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement between Ukraine and the European investment Bank (EIB) on the project "Reconstruction, overhaul and technical re-equipment of the main gas pipeline" Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod " in the amount of 150 million euros. Such a decision at the meeting on Wednesday supported 254 parliamentarians with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.

the agreement was signed at the beginning of winter last year in Kiev. The project of modernization of the pipeline for four years, the loan period is 19 years.

before Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the implementation of this project will provide an opportunity to completely replace the 120 miles of pipe, as well as reducing by 20% the cost of gas for direct pumping by the Ukrainian GTS on this site after restoration of compressor stations.
