MUNICH, February 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia is ready to start negotiations on a new strategic offensive arms control treaty, Vice-Premier Sergei Ivanov told a Sunday press conference after the 45th Munich Security Conference.

"The negotiations will start very quickly and actively as soon as the American side is ready, he said.
