GSE: Ukraine per day increased the accumulation of gas in UGS 0. 22%

MOSCOW, 22 Jul - RIA Novosti/Prime. The volume of gas in underground storages (UGS) of Ukraine on 22 July was 12, 61 billion cubic meters, an increase for the day at 0, 22%, inform the data on the Internet representation of the Association of European operators of the underground gas storages (GSE).

according to the information of the GSE, the level of storage has risen to 40, 74% with 40, 65% over the position on July 21, when in Ukrainian underground storage facilities was 12, 582 billion cubic meters of gas.

After another unsuccessful tripartite gas talks on 30 June Ukraine has suspended the purchase of gas from Russia to agree on the terms of delivery and currently receives gas only in reverse from Europe. At the same time Ukraine is actively seeking funds to purchase the required amount of gas and pumping it into underground storage facilities for the autumn-winter season.

On Tuesday, the Minister of energy of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn said that Ukraine will be able to accumulate in storage for the upcoming heating season 19 billion cubic meters of gas subject to the receipt of financial assistance of $ 1 billion, without it - only 14, 5 billion cubic meters. On the first day of the week, he said that Kiev hopes until August to receive funds from international financial institutions for the injection of gas into storage under the ground.

Deputy head of "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Sergey Conover July 16, declared that "Naftogaz" in September-October, hopes to receive an EBRD loan of 300 million dollars for these purposes. In addition, according to his statement, IFC may provide a loan of 300 million dollars to European suppliers of gas that they pumped the fuel in Ukrainian gas storage facilities, and in winter, sold it, or Ukraine, or on the open market.

Energy Minister Alexander Novak on July 17, noted that the Ministry considers the risks associated with the transit of gas in the winter from Russia to the European Union via Ukraine if the Ukrainian side will not create sufficient reserves in UGS. In addition, according to his statement, if "Naftogaz" in the last month of summer doesn't start pumping gas from Russia, there are also risks with Ukraine's preparations for the upcoming heating season.
