Remember that French parliamentarians arrived on the Russian Peninsula on July 23. Foreign guests were welcomed by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov. "This is recognition of the ineffectiveness of sanctions against Russia by foreign parliamentarians. France is in this sense a fruitful position," he said. Aksenov expressed confidence that lawmakers will soon be convinced in Crimea is safe, and the people made a choice in a referendum in early March of 2014 alone.
