MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia`s gold production plunged by 21% in January month-on-month and rose 50.7% against January 2008, the country`s statistics body said on Thursday.
The Federal Statistics Service said silver output fell 61.4% against December and 9.7% against January 2008.
Russia`s concentrated lead production declined 4.7% against December and 28.3% against January 2008.
The country produced 3.7% less concentrated copper than in December, but the amount was 5.9% higher than in January 2008.
Concentrated molybdenum output rose 6.6% and 14.8%, respectively. sections: Economics |
