Analyst: policy penalties hurt France, not Russia
French policy on the Ukrainian question is a gross mistake corrected French elected officials, who visited the Crimea, writes portal Analyst Alexander Latsa.

The analyst said that no French media has not found it necessary or interesting to mention the visit of the French deputies to the Russian Federation, and at the same time, they were the first representatives of authorities from Europe who came to the Crimea.

"Imagine the Russian press, which would be used to censor the journey of people's deputies of the Russian abroad?" the Analyst writes.

Crimea became Russian definitively and it is painful geopolitical fact for some, but not for the Crimeans, believes Lats.

"The policy of sanctions has not had any impact on the policy of Russia, literally opposite. Instead of that, she contributed to the weakening of the positions and interests of France in Russia, causing harm to the national interest. French elected officials put national diplomacy in the face of hard reality, which deny: French Policy on the Ukrainian question is a gross mistake, " said the Analyst.

Lotsa believes that France must review its relationship with Russia.

"Staging a similar diplomatic breakthrough, our country acknowledges its own status as an independent country. So, France opened a new diplomatic path, a path that will become imperative for all of Europe, the essence of which in the revision of relations with Russia, " - concluded the Analyst.
