Our persistent explanation of the untimely and counterproductive such a step without precedent in the past, and also long before the completion of the ongoing investigation of the events of the crash, were not accepted", - said in a statement the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia.

"In these circumstances, the Russian Federation, in every possible way trying to prevent a split in the UN security Council and put the issue in a constructive direction, decided to skip imposed by the Security Council politicized decision by voting against it," added the foreign Ministry.
