Ukraine may cancel the moratorium on inspections of pig farms due to ASF
The government of Ukraine to cancel the moratorium on inspections of pig farms, lesozagotovitelnyh and meat processing plants throughout the country due to the outbreak of African swine fever, informs on the first day of the week the state veterinary and phytosanitary service of Ukraine.

Experts of the State veterinary and phytosanitary service of Ukraine on July 29 said it has detected another outbreak of African swine fever virus (ASF) in the agricultural complex "Kalita" in Brovary district of Kyiv region. More than 60 thousand pigs are subject to euthanasia.

States that the Commission members discussed the introduction to the government for consideration of the draft Executive order to repeal the moratorium and inspections of pig farms, mjasozagotovok and meat processing plants of different forms of ownership on the territory of Ukraine for the period of the establishment of quarantine on African swine fever.

The Commission also considered the issue of operational funds from the reserve Fund of the state budget for reimbursement of expenses associated with the occurrence of ASF.
