The court of appeal of Genoa has approved the detention of former Deputy Rada Markov
Sergey Startsev. The court of appeal of Genoa held on the last working day of the week the first meeting in the matter of the extradition of the former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Markov, which approved his detention made on Wednesday by the Italian police in San Remo on request of the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol.

Markov himself was present at the first meeting of the Genoa court, in whose house he was taken under escort From the prison of San Remo. Participated in hearings Italian jurist politician Enrico Scopesi and translator.

Markov is accused of committing iniquity under article 296 ( "hooliganism with bodily harm" ) the criminal code of Ukraine. In October 2013 he was arrested on suspicion of organizing the beating of protesters in Odessa in may 2007. The story is about the events, when the Odessa regional administration occurred pickets against installation in monument to Catherine II. The politician was placed in jail, where he spent several months. After the change of power in Kiev in February 2014, the court released Markov From custody in connection with the reinstatement of the Deputy. Anyway, at the end of 2014, the Ministry again said Markov wanted. From a field of view of the Ukrainian militiamen he went missing on 4 November 2014.

Markov is a member of the division of the salvation of Ukraine, which was created and headed by former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. Before the last working day of the week it was announced that the seaside district court of Odessa has issued a default judgment on placing under arrest of ex-MP, who was detained in Italy.
