Political analyst: Obama does not have a deliberate strategy with respect to Russia
A new round of escalation along the demarcation line in the South-East of Ukraine - an example of how Kiev is trying to push off foreheads of the Russian Federation and the West, says Indian political Analyst and former diplomat.

in his vision, the true purpose of the meeting Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel in Berlin to force Poroshenko to speed up the constitutional reform, which will enable you to save Donbass from Ukraine, as of the date the mandate of the Minsk agreement and claimed by Russia. Poroshenko, for his part, wants the transformation of Donbass, which is "economically integrate back to Ukraine impossible," in de facto territory under the protectorate of Russia, but Moscow is, of course, disagree with this, as it is against the terms of the Minsk agreements.

Bhadrakumar sure to resolve the fundamental contradictions that have arisen between Russia and the West for the cause of Ukraine, "Normandy format" is insufficient - we need a direct dialogue between Moscow and Washington on the presidential level. In Sevastopol, the head of Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov noted that if America gets such an offer, Putin surely will watch it. The escalation of military confrontation between Kiev and self-proclaimed republics in the Southeast of the country along the line of demarcation this meeting takes on special significance.

The analyst pays attention to the words of the 56th U.S. Secretary of state, Henry Kissinger, said in interview magazine. He stated that in order to put the Ukrainian crisis in the global context and the necessity of U.S. involvement in the resolution, and "the American contribution" shall occur on the current phase of the conflict.

Kissinger stressed that the Russian Federation was not "orchestrated" the crisis in Ukraine, parried the deterioration caused by the "negligent conduct of the European Union" - the absence of a serious discussion between Moscow and Brussels on European security and the passivity of the US capital at a critical moment. In this regard, to settle the Ukrainian conflict to further cooperation between Russia and the West remained possible only if 2 conditions: Ukraine retains a neutral state (not attached to any military blocs) and remains within its present borders. Moreover, the long-term interests of world order the West should reconsider its attitude to Russia - it should be seen as a world power, and the system of relations with it should be built in such a way that "desire" Russia could peacefully coexist with the "needs" of the West.

"There is no doubt that the meeting between Obama and Putin had to happen for a long time - the way 2 the gladiators last met in November 2014 for the G20 conference in Australia. The Russian side proposes that the meeting never before in the upcoming month. Would Obama?" writes Maculinea Bhadrakumar.

in his vision, it depends on how the American leader imagines the whole picture of the relations between Russia and the West and the nature of the contradictions between them. Bhadrakumar agrees with the assessment of Obama's Kissinger, in this same interview NI: "at the level of common sense Obama is a realist, but his vision is more ideological than strategic."
