The interaction between the US and Russia in the Arctic, despite the difficulties in the relationship because of the situation in Ukraine, has been successful, said a senior Commissioner of the state Department.

However, he said that the difficulties in the relationship due to "Russia's actions in Ukraine and Crimea" is not much affected interaction in the Arctic. The diplomat also highly assessed the competencies of Russian commissioners, with whom he is working in this area.
