Hollande: France to support the lifting of sanctions against Russia
France will advocate for the abolition of anti-Russian sanctions If progress in resolving the conflict in Ukraine will continue, said the French leader Francois Hollande.
"The Minsk agreement must be made before the end of the year. Need to go before the end, as well as among them in matters of local elections, laws on autonomy, decentralization of areas in the East of Ukraine. If this process is completed, I will take action for withdrawal penalties ", ? Hollande said at a press conference on the first day of the week, RIA " Novosti ".
On August 26, the European Commissioner for agriculture Phil Hogan said that the extension of Russia for the year embargo on agricultural products from the EU will create problems for those member countries of the EU, which until now have not felt any serious damage from these measures. However, the German-Russian foreign trade chamber (AHK), citing its survey organizations, said that the punishment of the West against the Russian capital is inefficient. In June, the EU Council formally extended punishment against Russia for another six months ? until 31 January 2016. In addition, on 19 June, the Council of the European Union officially confirmed the extension of sanctions on Crimea and Sevastopol until June 23, 2016. In the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that Moscow is disappointed by the decision of Brussels on the extension of economic sanctions against Russia, noting that the EU is deliberately ignoring the fact that the extension of restrictive measures will result in the loss of jobs to hundreds of thousands of Europeans. The Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his part, said the signing of the decree on the extension of protective measures from 6 August 2015, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Russia issued a decree on the renewal of countermeasures relative to the countries that supported anti-Russian punishment.
