The trilateral Contact group on settling the situation in Ukraine welcomes the progress in the work of the subgroup on safety in the matter of approval of withdrawal of weapons with a calibre of not more than 100 millimeters, said the Commissioner of the OSCE on the negotiations Martin Sajdik.

"The participants applauded the establishment of a General ceasefire in particular districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions at the end of summer, which for example allowed to start the learning process. The trilateral Contact group expects that this positive trend will give the opportunity to make progress in addressing the issues discussed in the framework of the sub-working groups, " said Sidik.

"The contact group welcomed the progress in the work of the subgroup on safety concerning the plan of allotment of tanks, mortars of a calibre of not more than 120 millimetres and artillery, not more than 100 millimetres ", he added.
