Naftogaz hopes to receive from the EBRD and international Finance Corporation (IFC) five hundred million dollars of loans for the purchase of gas, said the Head of the national Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva at a meeting with bankers.

"We expect purchases of gas for the winter, but they will be financed at the expense of Naftogaz from international organizations. Currently the EBRD they get a line of credit of 300 million dollars, IFC will provide a further 200 million dollars ", - transmits the message Gontareva press service of the NBU on Wednesday.

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" conducts dialogues with European financial institutions on loans to cover the deficit for download of the " blue fuel ". According to " Naftogaz ", Kiev hopes before the end of September to reach consensus with the EBRD about attracting 300 million dollars to pump natural gas on European hubs.

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko expects 30 September, the Board of Directors of the European Bank for restoration and development will see the provision of loan to Ukraine for the purchase of gas for the winter.

After another unsuccessful tripartite gas talks on 30 June Ukraine has suspended the purchase of gas from Russia to agree on the terms of delivery and currently receives gas only in reverse from Europe. At the same time Ukraine is actively seeking funds for the purchase of gas for injection into underground storage facilities for the coming winter. According to various estimates, the country ought to accumulate in their own UGS about 19 billion cubic meters of gas.
