Poroshenko has declared its readiness to establish a television company in Ukraine
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law prohibiting companies and citizens of Russia to establish a television company in Ukraine, said the press service of the Ukrainian leader.
Accepted 3 September Rada of the law obliges the subjects of information activities (TV and radio broadcasters and program service providers) to disclose the actual ownership structure and to provide information about the ultimate beneficial owner organizations, notified on the Internet office of the presidential administration of Ukraine.



This legislative act also prohibited the development and operation of broadcasting organizations which are legal entities registered in offshore zones, the list of which is Appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as proper physical persons-entrepreneurs, natural persons and persons without citizenship. The national Council of Ukraine on television and radio rests with the obligation to provide detailed justification for all of his decision to issue, refuse to issue and renewal of licenses. The law also prohibits the national Council to restrict the rebroadcasting of the TV channels of the countries participating in the European Convention on transfrontier television. In less than a year the state has revoked or denied the issuance of rental licenses nearly 400 films and TV series produced in Russia. In February, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada voted for the bill, prohibiting the presentation of films that promote the country's security forces recognized by Kiev as an aggressor, as well as the Soviet security agencies. In addition, the state Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine made the list of banned within the country of books by Russian authors. The authorities of Ukraine did not rule out expanding the list of prohibited books.
