Vice-President of the European Commission energosoiuz Maros Sefcovic hopes to hold a trilateral meeting on gas between Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission before the end of September, and expects to receive from the Russian side data on new routes of gas supplies to the European Union in the process of meeting with the Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak and the head of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller.

"We came to discuss all these bilateral aspects. I have a dream that will eventually be a tripartite agreement. Then We, of course, a touch of new infrastructure projects of gas transportation from Russia to the European Union, We wish to listen to the Russian side that they have the opportunity to speak on this issue, " said Sefcovic correspondents in the beginning of the meeting with Novak and Miller.

Responding to a question about whether the European Commission to propose a date for a trilateral meeting, ?ef?ovi? said: "It will be depending on how We talk today. We wish to better know the position of the Russian side, we wish to inform our partners about how We work with international financial organizations, like trying to raise the funding (to help Ukraine pay for future purchases of gas - ed.)".

"I hope that then the exchange of views, we agree that We can meet up very quickly - I would have wished that this meeting (tripartite - ed.) could pass before the end of September."
