Nuland: amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine meet with the Minsk agreements
Constitutional changes in Ukraine that relate to the decentralization of power, fully comply with the Minsk agreement, said the U.S. assistant Secretary of state Victoria Nuland at a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the last working day of the week in Kiev.

"the messenger of the state Department clarified important and decisive steps of Ukraine on the decentralization of power and the complete congruence of the constitutional changes to the Minsk agreements ", - informs the press service of the Ukrainian President.

Nuland said North America supports the efforts of Kiev on the establishment of a sustainable ceasefire in the Donbass. The parties also discussed further bilateral contacts and the possibility of increased financial assistance to Ukraine from the USA.

The Ukrainian Parliament on the proposal Poroshenko accepted in the first reading the draft changes to the Constitution of the country in terms of decentralization. Authorized DND and LNR first emphasized that the amendments were not agreed with the authorities of the breakaway republics, as envisaged by the Minsk agreements, and have not been tabled for discussion in the framework of the Minsk process. Review of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Poroshenko proposed amendments are merely a simulation run Kiev Minsk agreements.
