The OSCE urged Poroshenko to exclude correspondents from sanctions lists
The Commissioner of the OSCE on freedom of the media Dunja Mijatovic has addressed to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to exclude correspondents from the sanctions list, according to a press release of the OSCE.

"I fully respect the legitimate right of governments to fight crime and protect its national security and its citizens. But the imposition of excessive restrictions that limit the free movement of correspondents is not that way which ensures the safety. I call on President Poroshenko to adjust in their own decree and exclude correspondents, " he said.

The human rights activist added that the authorities are obliged to facilitate the work of reporters and to refrain from creating administrative prohibitions to their entry.

yesterday Ukraine has banned the entry into its territory to a number of correspondents of the European and Russian editions, charged with " actions that create real and/or potential danger to the public interest, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine ". The decision of the NSDC of Ukraine, enshrined in the decree on sanctions, published on the Internet office of the President.
