The head of Latvia Raymond Vejonis October 27 will go with a one-day visit to Ukraine, where he will be meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, informs the press service of the Latvian leader on the last working day of the week.

The visit will take place on the initiative of the Latvian side.

Minister of foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich believes that this Visit is extremely important step.

"It will be a very loyal and symbolic step given the recent presidency of Latvia in the EU, a priority of which was the Eastern partnership," said Rinkevich.
