Alexey Bogdanovsky. International monetary Fund welcomes the agreement on a currency swap between Ukraine and Sweden, said 1st Deputy Director of the IMF David Lipton.

Sweden's Central Bank (Riksbank) finished this week an agreement with Ukraine, which provides for the sale amount up to five hundred million U.S. dollars in exchange for the Ukrainian hryvnia. In addition, the Swedish Central Bank will provide the national Bank of Ukraine tech support.

"the contract in the amount of five hundred million U.S. dollars six months provides important monetary support necessary for the success of the program of economic reforms in Ukraine," said Lipton.
