Ministry of environment: ecosystem of the Black sea is suffering because of the blockade of the Crimea
The state of the Black sea ecosystem has deteriorated because of overlap of Ukraine of the North Crimean channel and increased freshwater discharge of the Dnieper, said Fins news the Minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Crimea Gennady Nara.

"Overlap Ukraine North-Crimean canal is damage to the ecosystem of the Black sea, because Dnieper water is discharged in large quantities into the sea, it goes desalination, suffers marine biological diversity, marine animals disappear," said Nara.

In the 1st suffers the Ukrainian Black sea coast, drew the attention of the Minister. According to his statement, in connection with increase of the flow of the Dnieper river have also increased the amount of pollution put into the sea together with the Dnieper water. In this regard deteriorated State of the nursery grounds endangered sturgeon and other sea fish (turbot), in Karkinitsky Bay on the North-West of the Peninsula.

"The Kiev authorities have deprived of water not only Crimea, but also his Kherson region, where water is the number one problem," added Nara.

Ukraine provided to 85% of the needs of the Crimea in fresh water through coming from the Dnieper North-Crimean canal, this water was used for irrigation of farmland. After the reunification of the Crimea with Russia the water flow through the channel in the Republic was completely stopped. Not all the problem of water supply of the Crimea managed to solve it After transferring water from the Crimean river Biyuk-Karasu in the North-Crimean canal, as well as the drilling of new wells.
