Danego: proposal on elections on February 21, does not invalidate elections on 1 November
Plenipotentiary representative of the self-proclaimed Lugansk people's Republic Vladislav Danego said that the initiative about the possibility of holding local elections in the Donbas on February 21, does not negate the need to hold elections held earlier than November 1 of the heads of a number of areas.

Kiev has appointed the holding of local elections on October 25 in the whole of Ukraine, except " in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions ". Anyway, LNR and DND has appointed the local elections on 1 November and October 18, respectively, claiming to act in Accordance with the Minsk agreements. Thus, the head LNR Igor Carpenter on the first day of the week signed an order on holding elections on 1 November, this day will choose Chapter 14 urban and district administrations.

"February 21 is the date before which technically these elections will not work," said Danego.

He explained that this date is obtained from calculating the time needed to make all laws that are envisaged by the Minsk agreements. He expressed the hope that Kiev will take at least a constructive approach to the issue of elections and the implementation of the Minsk agreements in General after LNR announced this date.

Thus Danego said that as long as Authorized LNR on the negotiations with Kiev are not offered on February 21 as the date for elections, but expect to do so on Tuesday.

Plenipotentiary representative LNR drew attention, because this is not it means that the elections of November 1, appointed head of the self-proclaimed Republic Igor Plotnitsky, will not take place.

"We are talking about different elections. Currently we choose chapters 14 districts, this is the most critical direction at the present time. Without this, the functioning of local self-government impossible. And there (in the proposal on elections February 21) the story is about the elections in all the subjects of local self-government, about 300 of them ", - He explained.
