Kiev conducts dialogues with Poland for completion of units at Khmelnitsky NPP, told reporters the head of Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn.

According to the Minister, Poland today raises the issue of building have 2 units of NPP, but taking into consideration the high cost of construction of nuclear power units from scratch, in the capital of Poland understands that it is profitable to participate in the construction of 2 power units at the Ukrainian Khmelnitsky NPP and to obtain electricity from Ukraine.

"They (the poles - ed.) understand that in reality when They begin their (units - ed.) to build, it would have cost several times more expensive (than the planned amount - ed.), for this reason, in reality, will be economically more expedient to cooperate with us, to build two units at the Khmelnytskiy NPP, we also conduct dialogues, and apply the transmission line from Rzeszow to Khmelnytskyi ", - said Demchyshyn.

Verkhovna Rada Ukrainian last Wednesday adopted the law on termination of the agreement with Russia about construction of 2 power units of Khmelnitsky NPP.

opinion about cooperation of Ukraine and Russia in the construction of the 3rd and 4th power units of KhNPP was taken at a meeting of the Prime Ministers of Russia and Ukraine on 30 April 2010 in Sochi. The intergovernmental agreement on the project was signed on 9 June 2010. Analysis of Rosatom, work had to cost 5-6 billion dollars.

Ukrainian authorities pronounced the intention to bring to pay for the project of the Russian loan of 2 billion dollars. Rosatom has stated many times that showed interest in this project and performed all the appropriate steps.
