The new edition of the military doctrine of Ukraine enshrines the desire of Kiev to achieve by 2020 the full compatibility of its military power with forces of States-members of NATO.

"The priority of deepening cooperation with NATO is to achieve by 2020 fully compliant military power of Ukraine with the relevant forces of countries - members of NATO ", - is informed in the doctrine, made public on Thursday.

Provides for the development of multilateral relations during the modern mechanisms of NATO, for example, during the mutual EU policy on security and defence, the Charter on a distinctive partnership between Ukraine and NATO program " Partnership for peace ", the concept of operational capabilities of NATO (COMMERCIAL/OSS), planning process and evaluation of NATO forces (eppp/PARP) and the Mediterranean dialogue.

According to the doctrine, Ukraine Also needs to take on their own shoulders proportional share of responsibility in common with NATO operations. The document prescribes that Ukraine ought to provide the personnel readiness, technical compatibility of weaponry, military and special equipment, as well as the interoperability of the APU offices and member States of NATO in the composition of the list of activities and check the feedback of the operational capabilities concept of NATO (COMMERCIAL/OSS).

Also Ukraine in the short and medium term, in parallel with ensuring technical and operational compatibility of the defence forces and armed forces of countries-members of NATO will carry out the transformation and adaptation of documents of defence planning, operational and command and control, regulations and manuals to NATO standards based on the experience of fighting in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
