Ukrainian authorities currently are preparing for the upcoming heating season, the country needs gas, electricity and coal. Kiev conducts dialogues with other countries on the import of coal and hopes to come to a common understanding with Russian "Gazprom" on restoration of gas supplies.

According to various estimates, Ukraine ought to accumulate about 19 billion cubic meters of gas. According to the Association of European operators of the underground gas storages (GSE), the volume of gas in underground storages (UGS) of Ukraine on 24 September amounted to fifteen, 457 billion cubic meters, having increased for days on 0, 27%.
