Commercial regulations initialed winter package for the supply of gas is acceptable for Ukraine, the document can be signed in the near future, said the head of Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr demchyshyn.

Russia, Ukraine and the EC initialled a tripartite Protocol on winter package of gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine. According to Ukraine initialled the Protocol on winter gas package takes on its own shoulders the obligation to buy 2 billion cubic meters of gas from "Gazprom" for injection into underground storage facilities.

"Commercial rules (initialed winter package - ed.) is exceptional. With own part, I consider that they support our economy. It is very important for our government to develop a strategy for the stabilization of the domestic economy. I think it was a very important step today, " said Demchyshyn at a press conference after initialing gas Protocol.
