Castro: Cuba condemns NATO expansion and the punishment of the West regarding Russia
Cuba condemns punishment of Western countries regarding Russia and NATO's intention to spread its influence to the borders of Russia, said the head of the state Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro, speaking at the UN General Assembly.

"We again Express our rejection of the intention to make wider the presence of NATO to the borders with Russia, and (of rejection) one-sided and unfair punishment relative to this state, said Castro.

Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July 2014, the EU and the US from point penalties against certain individuals and organizations have moved to the measures against entire sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia restricted imports of food items from countries that have imposed against her punishment. In addition, in the spring of 2015 the EU delegation in the capital of Russia transferred to the list of Inhabitants of EU countries who are denied entry to the Russian Federation. In the list of current and former members of the European Parliament, heads of the intelligence services of Britain and the countries of the Baltic sea, a number of British, German, Polish and Estonian military Directors.
