The leadership and teaching staff of higher military educational establishments in Ukraine must be appointed only from people who have served in the combat area in the Donbass, said the head of the defense Ministry of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak.

The Ukrainian authorities in April of last year began military action against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND. According to the final data of the UN, the victims of the conflict began more than 8 thousand people.

"in relation to universities: the entire management staff of higher education institutions is obliged to pass through the zone of the ATO, specifically by taking part in the planning, the organization of combat actions in the ATO area, starting from the head of a higher educational institution and ending with teachers ", - said Poltorak at the Board of the Ministry of defence on Thursday.

He said that on such positions as senior lecturer and teachers, learning military disciplines, must be administered only by those who passed through the zone of special operations.
