The head of the OSCE parliamentary Assembly Ilkka Kanerva sure that the punishment against the Russian Parliament will be abolished in the near future.

"I am confident that the penalties imposed, as well as among them regarding parliamentarians, will be removed in the future, in the near future ", - said the Kanerva correspondents at an international parliamentary forum in the Russian capital.

He nourishes the hope that all members of the OSCE PA will be able to contribute to the work of the Assembly, " as it was laid down in the Helsinki last act 40 years ago."

the Russian delegation in PACE in April 2014 was deprived of office because of Russia's position on Ukraine and Crimea. In 2015, the parliamentary Assembly has twice adopted a decision on the possible restoration of the Russian delegation in the rights, but the limits remain. Due to the inability to participate in voting and to work in the governing bodies of the organization, the delegation of Russia has suspended participation in the activities of PACE.
