Miller: Ukraine will not necessary amount of gas for the heating season
Ukraine will not be able to reach the necessary volume of gas injection into underground storage facilities by the beginning of the heating season, the head of Board of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller.

"No doubt Ukraine will not be able to enter the injection volumes (required - ed.) of gas by the beginning of the heating season. Recall that the heating season in Ukraine last year began October 17, with 16 volumes of gas, 7 billion cubic meters, currently, these volumes exceed a little more than fifteen, 7 billion cubic meters ", - said Miller.

"But in recent days there has been a decrease in volumes of gas and the reduction in reverse deliveries from Europe. Daily volumes of reverse gas supplies to Ukraine in relation to the scope of delivery in September month declined by almost 4 times ", - he added.

as of 2 October, Ukraine has accumulated in its own storage fifteen, 8 billion cubic meters of gas, stocking up for September 1, 2 billion cubic meters, reported the operator of the Ukrainian GTS Company " Ukrtransgaz ".

according to the organization, in September of accumulation of gas storages of Ukraine was supplemented at 1, 2 billion cubic meters, which is 30% more pumping volume in the same period last year. Just this year into storage underground gas was injected 8, 2 billion cubic meters of " blue fuel ".

Russia, Ukraine and the EC on September 25, initialled a tripartite Protocol on winter package of gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine. According to the agreements reached in Brussels, Ukraine has assumed obyazatelstva to buy from Russia to 2 billion cubic meters of gas. Funding for these supplies will be provided through a credit of five hundred million dollars raised by Ukraine with the help of the EC. Russia will give Ukraine a discount to the contract price of gas in the amount of about 20 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
