The Parliament of Transnistria will gather on 8 October at an extraordinary meeting
Vladimir Sandutsa. The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet (Parliament) of Transnistria on Tuesday on the initiative of speaker Michael Burle adopted an opinion on the convening 8 October extraordinary plenary session, said the parliamentary press office.

the meeting is expected to invite the head of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic, the Prime Minister, government members, deputies of local councils, commissioners of public organizations.

According to the speaker, the convocation of emergency plenary session of the current caused in the Republic by extraordinary circumstances. In addition, four times in the last 3 weeks, the Parliament could not begin work from-for lack of a quorum. In fact the work of the Parliament blocked a group of MPs, periodically attending meetings.

"Those who do not come to the plenary, motivate (my) lack the begun election campaign. However, we note that, according to the CEC, none of the no-show at the plenary meetings on 16, 23, 28 September Parliament at that period had not been registered as the candidate in people's deputies of the Supreme Council, " said Burla. He said that the election campaign does not relieve deputies of liability for the performance of their assigned duties, and among them the participation in the plenary meetings.

Transnistria, 60% of the inhabitants are Russians and Ukrainians, sought to secede from Moldova even before the destruction of the USSR, fearing that on the wave of nationalism Moldova will join Romania. In 1992, after the failed attempt of the authorities of Moldova force to solve the problem, Transnistria was in fact not controlled by the Chisinau area.
