The European Union sees reasons for cautious confidence regarding the settlement process in Ukraine and considers that the political process is moving in the right direction, said the European Commissioner on issues of justice, clients, and gender equality Vera Yurova, speaking on behalf of the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini.

"we have reason for cautious confidence about the progress on the diplomatic level, if we stay United," said Yurova MEPs.

The Ukrainian authorities in April of last year began military action against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND.
