The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that the election of Ukraine nonpermanent member of the UN Security Council before the country opens fresh possibilities for protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Thursday at the UN General Assembly a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the next two years. According to the foreign Ministry of the country, Ukraine three times during its membership in the UN was a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
