The delegation of the state Duma is sent to the session of the inter-Parliamentary Union
The delegation of the state Duma led by Chairman Sergey Naryshkin will visit on October 19-20 Geneva to participate in the 133rd Assembly of the inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), where people's deputies suggest to raise questions about the lifting of sanctions against parliamentarians, the operations in the Syrian Arab Republic, international law and the problem of immigrants.

Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) is the oldest International parliamentary organization founded in 1889. Currently has 166 member countries, 10 international parliamentary organisations which are associate members. The headquarters is located in Geneva. The highest body is the IPU Assembly, which traditionally meets twice a year (spring and autumn). One of them is held in Geneva, the second in one of the countries-participants of the Union.
