The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has contributed to ratification in the Ukrainian Parliament, the WTO agreement on trade facilitation, according to a report on the Internet representation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the last working day of the week.

"The twentieth of October 2015 the head of Ukraine introduced to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine developed by the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine the draft law on ratification of Protocol on introducing changes to the Marrakesh agreement establishing the world trade organization, the purpose of which is the Ukraine's implementation of internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement for trade facilitation ", - reported in the report.

According to the report, the Treaty has to be ratified and applied to reduce time and costs of customs surveillance, increasing the transparency and efficiency of operations of state agencies, improve the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

As they say, as of Wednesday it has been ratified by 50 WTO members (out of 161), including the USA, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the European Union and the 28 member countries of the EU inclusive. The contract goes into effect after its ratification by 2 thirds of WTO members.
