MADONNA`S been called many things in the past - but being branded a "God" surely trumps the lot.

The Like A Prayer was given the divine moniker by the Malawi orphanage she adopted son DAVID BANDA from in 2006.

Kind-hearted Madge visited the Home of Hope childcare centre in Mchinji this week to introduce four-year-old David to the staff who used to care for him.

And the other children at the orphanage were bursting with praise for their hero when she entered the room.

One overawed youngster told Madge: "You are our God. Where could we have been without you?"

The Queen of Pop also won glowing praise from care workers for the way she`s raised David.

The centre`s director Lucy Chipeta said: "David is too young to understand.

"But for us who remember the sickly tiny little baby of 2006, it was hard to hold back tears, including Madonna."

Madge is currently visiting Malawi with kids LOURDES, ROCCO and MERCY, who she adopted from the same country.
