The elected officials of the people's Council of the self-proclaimed Luhansk national Republic on the last working day of the week adopted the Law "On special economic and other sanctions" to protect the interests of LNR, reports Lugansk information center.

"The law defines the grounds and procedure for use of special economic and other penalties in order to ensure the interests and security of the Luhansk national Republic, the elimination and minimization of risk of violation of the rights of its inhabitants ", - reported in the report of the Luhansk information center.

According to the document, the Special economic and other punishments are able to be used as compared to foreign countries, legal entities and physical persons, entities and persons who engage in terrorist and extremist activities or operating in their interests. The law declares the basic principles on the use of punishment - legality, openness, reasonableness, objectivity and effectiveness. Special economic and other punishments are temporary and shall apply notwithstanding other measures used for protection of the interests of the Republic.
