The municipal electoral Committee: turnout at local elections in Kharkiv was 45, 6%
The turnout of voters in Kharkiv on election of local self-government amounted to 45, 6%, said on the first day of the week in Kharkiv city election Commission.

according to some exit polls, the incumbent Mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes is leading the race to become mayor, and his party "Revival" leads in the elections to the city Council.

"voted 493 to 536 thousand people out of 1 million 82 thousand voters of Kharkiv ", - stated in the municipal electoral Committee.

Local elections were held in Ukraine on Sunday on the new electoral law. In small towns with population over 90 thousand people, the mayor was elected by a simple majority vote, and in large cities can be assigned to a second round if none of the candidates will be able to collect more than 50% of the vote.

The results must be determined before November 4 and made public for five days, and in case of holding the 2nd round in the big cities - not later than November 20.
