Former Deputy head of the administration of former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Andriy Portnov has won a lawsuit against the Council of Europe " on the illegality of the punishment ".
"The Ukrainian authorities will have to reckon with the decision of the Court of justice of the European Union, adopted in Luxembourg today. The court fully satisfied my claim, declared illegal the decision of the Council of the EU concerning me and ordered the EU to pay all costs. I thank our team, partners and associates for their support and total victory ", ? he wrote in his own Facebook.



According to the decision of the Court of the EU, writes " Ukrainian truth ", the only reason to use punishment against Portnov was a letter from the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, where it was alleged that the politician " has to do with the embezzlement of a significant number of public money and illegal conclusion abroad "."
