TV: the court rejected the claim of the adviser Saakashvili lost the election
The district administrative court rejected the claim of the adviser of Mikheil Saakashvili Alexander Borovik, who lost in the elections of the mayor of Odessa, on the recount in the 1st district of the city, informs on the last working day of the week the website of the TV channel.

City's election Commission on Tuesday night announced the victory of incumbent mayor Gennady Trukhanov in the first round of elections of the town Governor with more than 52% of the vote. Alexander Borovik, the main competitor of Trukhanova, scored 25, 7%. He declared the election fraudulent, what it was supported by the Governor of Saakashvili. Wednesday night, the Odessa administrative court started considering the claim Borovik to the City election Commission, the courthouse has organized two rallies, one in support Borovik, the other in support of Trukhanov.

"Today, October 30, the night of the Odessa District administrative court rejected the claim of Alexander Borovik and upheld the results of elections of the mayor of Odessa in the Suvorov district. Borovik asked persistent in the form of a recount and the conduct of the 2nd round of elections. The panel of judges rejected his claim, and thus, Gennady Trukhanov remains elected in the first round of the mayor of Odessa ", - informs television channel.

Local elections were held in Ukraine on 25 October on a new electoral law. In small towns with population over 90 thousand people, the mayor was elected by a simple majority vote, and in large cities was expected to conduct the 2nd round, if no single candidate gained more than 50% of the vote.
