Magee Kikaleyshvili. The former head of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili said that Tbilisi's decision to start the procedure of deprivation of his Georgian citizenship was made "at the behest of Russia" and aimed at preventing him from participating in the next elections.

Saakashvili is currently the Governor of Odessa region of Ukraine. On the last working day of the week the head of the Ministry of justice of Georgia Thea tsulukiani said that the Ministry received from the Ukrainian side an official notice about the presence of Saakashvili and Ukrainian citizenship, according to Georgian laws, started the procedure of deprivation of former President of the Georgian passport.
