The launch of the space system "Arktika" was postponed due to sanctions Russian space system "Arctic", which is appropriate for weather changes and to assist in the exploration of minerals needed in the Arctic region, came under punishment. The launch of the project was postponed in consequence of the prohibition of the United States for the supply of devices for the Russian satellites.

"Terms "Arctic" us were shifted, as I had to reconstruct a part of the equipment in connection with the sanctions", - said Sergei Lemeshev, the General Director of "NPO Lavochkin", which in 2012 won the contract for development of the Arctic.

As informs the edition "news", spacecraft "Arktika", and other Russian satellites, more than half were to consist of imported components. In this regard, according to the statement Lemeshevsky, space vehicles are modernized, for example, the Arctic needs to be harmonized with the system of "Electro".

"At the moment we see that the 1st device "Electric L" works, but it have comments. Because we significantly upgraded "Electro-L" number 2. In the same way we and "the Arctic" has decided to upgrade to eliminate problems, the first of the "Electro-L". But the difference is that both of the "Electro-L" manufactured by us with the use of foreign element base. Chinese electronic component basis we do not use, in consequence of this count as a rule on the domestic electronic industry", - interpret Lemeshevsky.

Recall that in 2012 Roskosmos signed with NGOs agreement on performance of the first stage multi-purpose space system Arktika, which will provide connectivity and multiple observation in the polar regions and the Arctic ocean. The initial term of performance of works under the contract - November 2015. To this date, the satellite should be in orbit. But in the draft Federal space program for 2016-2025 have any changes for the launch of the first phone "Arctic", and the date was postponed to 2017.
