American political scientist: the EU is leaving Ukraine for " fortress wall "
The crises faced by the European Union for the last period of time, have the opportunity to have the most negative effect on countries outside the European Union, such as Ukraine, writes researcher of the American enterprise Institute (American Enterprise Institute) in the U.S. capital Dalibor Rohac in his article.

perhaps the European Union, breaking the immigration crisis, the problems with Greece and a possible exit of the UK, somehow cope with obstacles, but it will be on the alert for reception to the Eastern partners. United "European front" against Russia amid the events in Ukraine extremely " fragile ", and sooner or later it will be replaced by realism, when deciding on the future enlargement of the EU on the 1st place will be released "national desire" of Germany or France, says Dalibor Rohac.

Recent visits to the capital of Russia Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economics of Germany Sigmar Gabriel and former President of France Nicolas Sarkozy are a clear indication that European politicians want to weaken the sanctions regime against Russia and the maintenance of economic relations between countries.

review the economist, European country back to the " real politics ", but if they go into full " Fortress Europe ", the prospects for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia will disappear. In Moldova already greatly reduced the desire to connect to the EU, Pro-European coalition collapsed. The window of reforms open in front of Ukraine in the 1st year after Maidan, closed, writes the analyst.

in the 1990s and early 2000s, most post-Soviet countries actively implemented economic reforms because before them were the prospects of joining the EU. Now the Ukrainians don't see any "rewards" - with the exception of a small financial assistance for reforms, which they could spend in the last year and a half.

According to Dalibor Rohac, currently in the EU there is a lack of leadership: neither Chancellor Angela Merkel nor any other European politician is not impressive considering the accession of the Eastern neighbours As a priority for the EU.

the Creator of the article suggests that if the European Union will not pay attention to neighboring countries where they fall under Russian influence.
