PMR stands for open relationship with Ukraine and expects the same from Kiev
Vladimir Sandutsa. The head of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (PMR) Yevgeny Shevchuk said about the readiness to build good-neighbourly relations with Ukraine and awaits a similar position of Kiev.

"We are ready to establish good-neighborly, open, transparent and mutually beneficial relationship waiting when this position will be predominant and in Kiev ", - said Shevchuk on the last working day of the week in the evening broadcast of local TV channel.

The head of the PMR had previously noted that because of the deterioration of relations between Kiev and Russian capital of the Ukrainian government changed its position on Transnistria.

"We have always advocated good neighbourly relations, but they require the political will of 2 sides. Not only one - for example, Tiraspol, " - drew the attention Shevchuk.

Transnistria, 60% of the inhabitants are Russians and Ukrainians, sought to secede from Moldova even before the destruction of the USSR, fearing that on the wave of nationalism Moldova will join Romania. In 1992, after the failed attempt of the authorities of Moldova force to solve the problem, Transnistria was in fact not controlled by the Chisinau area.
